The Micheldever story

From humble beginnings...

Micheldever Tyre Services Ltd (MTS) was founded in 1972 by Tony Todd, a qualified Marine Engineer from Torquay. In its infancy, Micheldever Tyre & Auto Services focused on car repairs and sales, before developing into a specialist tyre supplier to car drivers and agricultural customers in 1979.

From humble beginnings

Disaster into opportunity...

The original site burned down in 1983, however this disaster was turned into an opportunity. Micheldever rose from the ashes, when the 'new' purpose built tyre fitting site was opened. In 1986, further development at Micheldever saw an expansion in the services offered to its customers on the current site. This included exhaust, brakes and suspension.

In 2006 a new management team lead by Paul Fox, CEO and Richard Sawney, Financial Director took over. This team are backed by an investment group Graphite Capital and Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS). At this point the company consisted of 16 retail sites and 7 warehouses.
